Our story
Calm Finance Co. started as Sovereign Lending, founded by Liam Caldwell in 2017 after 15 years in Big 4 business banking. Austin Murphy joined in 2019, bringing his background in accounting and a passion for helping first home buyers. The rebrand to Calm Finance Co. in 2025 reflects what clients had been telling us all along — that working with us feels calm.
Today we help 7–10 clients settle every month across Ballarat, Melbourne, Geelong, and the Surf Coast. We compare loans from 40+ lenders through Connective, and we take the time to make sure every client understands their options before making a decision.
